Du jeudi, 21 octobre 2021 au 16 février (FINISSAGE) 2022, la Galerie Jano Lapin accueille l’exposition Nos Territoires Inconscients – Our Unconcious Territories. Sous le commissariat de l’artiste Yannick De Serre et de la galeriste Anne Jano, les artistes Marilyne Bissonnette, Catherine Bolduc, Cinthya Chalifoux et Lisa Theriault élaboreront sur les figures de style, parfois d’opposition, parfois de complémentarité, entourant les territoires physique et psychologique.

Nos Territoires Inconscients se veut une exploration de notre psyché, notre souffle de vie. Dans cette exposition, les artistes lèveront le voile sur le mystère pouvant à la fois nous habiter et nous entourer. Le territoire sera ici porteur des limites physiques et psychologiques que l’on s’impose. Quant à sa révélation, elle prendra le chemin propre à son auteur. Citons les exemples des riches amoncellements montagneux à la fois ordonnés et chaotiques de Catherine Bolduc; les fenêtres sur des paysages évanescents qui sont à la fois intimes et externes à soi de Lisa Theriault; les êtres animaliers organisés en mi-dévoilement de façon aléatoire et compulsive de Marilyne Bissonnette; ainsi que les assemblages symboliques, à la fois sensoriels et mémoriels, de Cinthya Chalifoux.

L’exoposition sera présentée physiquement à la Galerie Jano Lapin et accessible en ligne via le site web de la galerie –  JanoLapinGallery.com.  Le finissage aura lieu le mercredi 16 février entre 17h et 20h et nous serons ouvert tous les samedis entre 13h et 17h.  Au plaisir de vous y voir dans le respect des mesures sanitaires en vigueur.

Nos territoires inconscients est la quatrième exposition collective de la galerie depuis son ouverture en janvier dernier. La Galerie Jano Lapin est située au 3819 rue Wellington #200, Verdun, H4G 1V1.

From Thursday, October 21, 2021, to February 16th, 2022, Galerie Jano Lapin is hosting the exhibition Nos Territoires Inconscients – Our Unconcious Territories. Under the curatorship of artist Yannick De Serre and gallery owner Anne Jano, artists Marilyne Bissonnette, Catherine Bolduc, Cinthya Chalifoux and Lisa Theriault will elaborate on figures of style, sometimes of opposition, sometimes of complementarity, surrounding physical territories, and psychological.

Our Unconscious Territories is an exploration of our psyche, our breath of life. In this exhibition, the artists will lift the veil on the mysteries that can both inhabit and surround us. The territory here will bear the physical and psychological limits that we impose on ourselves. As for its revelation, it will take the path proper to its author. Let us cite the examples of the rich mountainous accumulations both ordered and chaotic of Catherine Bolduc; windows onto evanescent landscapes that are both intimate and external to oneself by Lisa Theriault; the animal beings organized in mid-disclosure randomly and compulsively by Marilyne Bissonnette; as well as the symbolic assemblages that speak of sensory-induced memories by Cinthya Chalifoux.

The exhibition will be presented in situ at the Jano Lapin Gallery and accessible online through the gallery’s website – JanoLapinGallery.com. The FINISSAGE will take place on Wednesday, February 16th, between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m., and we will be open every Saturday between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m.  We look forward to seeing you there, in compliance with the current sanitary measures.
