The provenance of the name "Jano Lapin"

The name "Jano Lapin" is a nickname coming from a pun on the family name of Anne Jano, the founder. Her French father's nickname has endured over the years and Anne has always enjoyed using it.

In short, instead of linking the name of the gallery to a family name as many galleries traditionally do, Anne wanted to use this nickname which has an important meaning for her, a sort of alter-ego, and at the same time present the gallery in an approachable way.

Fondatrice / Directrice artistique, Anne Jano
