Egg tempera on masonite panel, decorative moulding, 10” x 12”, 2019
The work is framed with treated poplar and decorative moulding.
This piece composes collaged photographic fragments and botanic objects as connectors to memory and tradition.
The foliage is taken from my parent’s garden. The image depicts an original photograph of my great-grandmother at her wedding in 1921, pictured with her friend.
The egg tempera medium is permanent painting medium mixed by hand using dry pigments, water and egg yolk.
