Description: Carport Escape shows an outdoor landscape in a snowy environment. Central to the composition is a winter carport shelter that offers a glimpse of a grass-covered area with heaters, a food table, and party lights. In this drawing, the artist speculates how outdoor spaces in regions that have harsher, colder climates may be adapted for social gatherings. It especially draws reference to the prominence of public parks as social spaces within Montreal, as well as the repurposing of utilitarian carports that are seen across Quebec.
